Do You Have a GOTV Plan Yet?

What will you do to ensure that more Democratic voters get to the polls this year?

Sadly, I can no longer walk the streets and knock on doors, due to my age and other issues. That was what I did for many, many elections. So, my plan is to help fund that kind of GOTV efforts where they are needed.

See, the thing is that GOTV is going to be crucial in this year's Congressional and state legislative elections. If we don't prevent the Republicans from gaining ground or even getting majorities, it's game over for our democracy.

So, I ask you to think about how you can help ensure that our republic survives the onslaught of desperate Republicans. I hope you will do whatever you can.

I also hope that this GOTV post does not sink immediately off the first page on GD. You can help with that by replying below.

Thank you.

bilingual folks to go into cities like Paterson, Passaic, Newark, and other NJ municipalities to register voters and get them to the polls.

I’m a poll worker in my small town. The majority of voters are recent immigrants.

..is just plain lazy. But my dtr and grand dtrs just moved to Alabama from Seattle ( gasp) and the three of them are voting age so Im encouraging them to locate their polling place ( 'what is that grandma?') and im pretty tempted to call the local dem headqtrs to make sure its done right.

They moved to a gated community in Fairhope so I dont see long lines being an issue...i think they just hop over to the yacht club (sigh)

in elections than my previous one, so I'm going to invest in GOTV funding here, just to make sure. Still, my wife and I make two new Democratic votes in the district since we moved here.

...for Val Demings! Helping to flip a Florida Senate Seat from red to blue.

Also doing the same for Charlie Crist, who I think is our best hope to get rid of that Nazi DeathSantis!!

from their homes to the polls and then back home again. It's a great way to help.

Thanks for the thread, MM.

voters and canvass for Democrats. That October, we helped voters (many were the working poor) devise election day voting plans. Transportation was a major issue.

For many of us more privileged people, it's easy to vote. Not so for everyone.
