Musk considers the US government to be another corporation.

“I think its a false dichotomy to look at government and sort of industry as separate...government is...the ultimate corporation,” Musk said Tuesday at the WSJ CEO Summit, calling it a “monopoly that can’t go bankrupt, or usually cannot go bankrupt.”

The government would have to sell off every department except the postal service and maybe the department of education. The postal service operates in the black. The department of education probably earns more than it costs in raised income taxes for the people who get an education. The Pentagon is a huge money black hole.

Now I do because of its features and early reviews by mainstream car magazines. Not only does it cost the same or (less) than a similarly equipped conventional truck, it can also act as a "power wall" for the house!

Plus, Ford know how to build vehicles, unlike Tesla, whose vehicles have quality control problems.

Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to afford a $60K vehicle of any kind in the near future... 😕

And there are pretty substantiated rumors the next-gen Ranger will be, too as it leaves behind the old platform.

Ford is well on their way down a well-planned road to convert their entire fleet. The first step was the eco-boost that did start-stop; that was like a stepping stone to hybrids. And hybrids are a stepping stone to electric (or stand next to in certain narrow markets & likely will for a long time). But it takes time and baby steps to seamlessly switch sales, marketing, service and parts over.

Ford Motor Co in 2022 as a corporation works hard to fight racism, sexism and ableism. They perform frequent internal audits to ensure minorities make up at least an adequate percent of the workplace (which in their internal measures means at least the same same as society as a whole) and that includes all levels of management. That's worldwide, too - not just in the USA.

Also, when the new Ranger Tremor was announced, someone on Twitter called it "very gay" meant as a derogatory insult. Ford flipped that on its head and spent the time and money to have a special VERY GAY TREMOR make public & social media appearances to show support for their LGBTQ workers. It's fabulous and makes people smile.

So really Ford is sorta the anti-Tesla.

And the code was so horrible as soon as they hired an actual programmer the first thing they did was throw out all the old code (rewrote it from scratch) as it was completely non-scalable and non-maintainable.

His job has always been the same as Trump: to come up with new bright shiny objects and convince investors to give him money for them, which he needs because the attempt at the prior last shiny object is going so poorly.

It's a shell game. He's one of those guys with a card table, three cups and a pebble. He just had the luck of birthright to be doing it on a much larger scale.

Jobs loved to take credit for the technological innovations under Apple. The reality was he simply bankrolled brilliant engineers and programmers to design and build everything and then claimed it all as his achievements. Or He'd just outright steal other inventions (see Xerox PARC).

Musk is the same just an "investor" who takes credit for other rocket scientists work at SpaceX and auto engineers at Tesla. And how is making luxury cars for the privileged elite making the world a better place?

I about rolled my eyes in the back of my head last night on Bill Maher when Adam Corolla referred to him and "the smartest man in the world" Puleeze he's a modern day robber baron and an intellectual lightweight in the science community.

Later though, Apple became something very, very different under Jobs. Slightly more cult-like, some might say. Just as the idea of carrying a computer around all day was becoming feasible and even useful, Jobs saw that there was a distinct market of people who were not technical, at all. But if they paid him a rather exorbitant amount, he'd sell them a high tech device that even they could use and thus feel like they too were part of this computer-technology revolution thingy. I'm sorry, did I say he'd sell them that device? I meant, "he'd have them begging for it and waiting outside the doors at midnight the day the next model went on sale so they could buy the bragging rights".

Sick of socialists trying to convince liberals they're fascists. Capitalism is not a fascist ideology. Capitalism is a liberal ideology. Elizabeth Warren even describes herself as a capitalist.

The truth is there are always people of every political ideology that think they can use fascists as a tool to win political power. They're wrong. Fascism is using them as a tool to win political power. Fascism wins because it is popular. The way to defeat fascism is to instill a culture of individual rights. LIBERALISM is the true anti-fascism.
