The frightening reality we overlook is that the police CAN'T protect us.

There is too much anger and hatred in our society.
There are too many angry, antisocial people who see mass murder as a justifiable option.

Hatred is cultivated in our country, fomented for political gain, rather than rebuked.
The previous POTUS advocated for violence to overturn an election that he lost.
Last I heard, he was advocating civil war. Evidently, killing doesn't bother him.

There are too many guns, and they are too easily obtained.
There are too many guns designed to annihilate people quickly and in large numbers.

There are NOT ENOUGH police in the country to stop them. It is delusional to think otherwise.
The police are outnumbered and out-gunned. By the time they arrive on scene, the carnage is already over.

Innocent people will continue to be murdered because the police are not able to save us.
We are all vulnerable and at risk to be killed at random -- you, me, children, everyone.

America is the only country under constant terrorist attack by the hands of its own citizens.
Think about that....

Anger, hatred, division, an antisocial regard for fellow citizens, blood lust, and an overabundance of guns
all make for a putrid recipe for death.

Mr. Abbott should be "livid", but for other reasons. AND he should be scared, as well.

make these politicians do something about guns would be if the politicians themselves were being gunned down at random. So many of the bastards are narcissists, they just don't care about gun violence unless they are targets themselves.

The hypocrisy is mind blowing. No guns allowed at the NRA convention either. When protesters write nasty messages in chalk in front of the home of Susan Collins she calls the cops. When protesters go to the homes of SCOTUS justices laws are passed the next day to stop it. Unbelievable. They have no shame and no conscience.

I told 7wo7rees this last evening I believed we need to go shopping and then visit some locations, just for fun.
I used to live in Austin, I'd love to see the Gov's Mansion again, I'd like to visit the school where Cancun Cruz sends his daughters to school (looking for nice private, safe school to send grandchildren to)....
And oh yeah babe, I think we need to go to church Sunday am at Prestonwood Baptist, they especially need "true believers"" support this Sunday.
And then we need to pop on down to Reverchon Park for the beginning of the "Carry Your Load" event!
That ends Monday.
Fuck Memorial Day Weekend!!

I think we need to look again at Highland Park babe. Ring up a realtor.

Sorry, just a very angry, heartbroken, embarrassed citizen of US living in F, I don't even know. North Dallas still, just not recognizable.

Sorry, DU, Ms7wo7rees

Police mostly protect property.

As far as I can tell, police issue moving violations and misdemeanor traffic tickets, investigate accidents, and mostly show up after crimes have been committed. They hate domestic violence calls, because they're so dangerous and unpredictable, and they're not fans of running toward gunfire since "they might get shot."

How many police officers have stopped crime in progress? Stand offs like Waco, maybe, and suicide by cop crimes, but they show up after the fact most of the time, no?

I'm not sure why American detectives even carry sidearms, since they're not responding to active criminal activity, either.

This is the world Fox/Rupert Murdoch/conservative male patriarchy wanted and worked for--the wild west meets leave it to beaver.

Mr. Abbott should start packing his shit, since Beto won the governor's election when he spoke truth to all those lying, hypocritical charlatans in their white hoods, er..., ten gallon hats on that stage.
