The full implication of De Santis ever winning the presidency just hit me.

In the aftermath of the latest hearings fox news analysts were saying Trump has criminal exposure and may be in trouble.

This is a stunning development. Maybe the fox overlords have decided to finally ditch Trump and back De Santis.

If that's the case it's imperative we break the filibuster asap ( hopefully after November if we gain enough senate seats) to pass voting rights laws. Getting out the vote is crucial.

My thinking is that De Santis has been ruthlessly effective in Florida at getting the legislature to pass all sorts of horrible things.

If he gets to the white house he will have an Agenda and unlike Trump will push it effectively. He will get the gop senate to drop the filibuster if they get senate and house and pass laws that will bring us to the point of no return.

There will be no " oh but we have the filibuster" to save us.

Thanks to the flaws in our system. Once he took on the special needs kids it was clear to me what he’s capable of and how much the base loves that. It’s not inevitable but he is a clear and present danger for the reasons you mentioned and many more.

That asshole in Missouri that wants to murder Trump's political opponents? Imagine that but nationwide. They will be out for blood.

And most people don’t see it. Trump was never Hitler 2.0. Much too stupid and inept. De Santis is, and people are willing to put this monster into the highest office of the land.

Watching the way Fox News, GOP propaganda and the Q Anon movement are scrambling people's brains, I don't need to wonder any more. We're witnessing it in real time. Given the right leader, we'll see them go full genocidal maniac. Trump was just a preview of what is coming.

Harvard Law graduate with honors.

The courts played a big part in preventing TFG's coup: more than 60 lawsuits filed and lost. DeSatan would seem much better prepared to use the courts to his advantage, so much so that I'm not sure the courts could save us from his despotism.

Democracy dies immediately. Freedom ends immediately. America is officially finished. The cruelty and hate and death he has worked so hard to bring to Florida will be coming to all 50 states.

As ruthless as he is, as cruel as he is, as little as he cares for laws and rules... I also don't see him ever ceding power should he wind up in the White House. There will not be a re-election because he'll declare himself "president for life." And he sure as hell won't step aside after 2 terms.

Under no circumstances should he ever be elected president. I can only hope the people of Florida pull their heads from their asses and ensure he does not get re-elected as governor.

Not by much, but the repub shit is hitting the fan and will continue all summer. The Roe decision is going to wake people up as much as the J6 hearings.

That these numbers hold and come November, we're speaking of governor-elect Crist and former governor DeSatan.

While he dreams of the White House and becoming the American Fuhrer, nothing would be better than a crushing defeat at home to hopefully derail all of his dreams (aka our nightmares).
