Here's a clue for everyone: There are state legislative elections in most states this November, along with elections for every member of the House of Representatives and one third of the Senate members.
That's why it's so important to vote in midterm elections. If that's not your normal habit, make it a new habit and bring every friend you have to the polls. Elect Democratic majorities everywhere, starting RFN!
GOTV! Take back America!

(22,671 posts)Elections have become life and death decisions.
If you don't care about your life or that of any of your family members and friends, don't vote. I suppose it comes down to that.

(42,753 posts)Unfortunately, there are some DUers who think the answer is to attack and denigrate religion generally -- which is a great way to alienate significant parts of the Democratic base (including Black churches, Jewish synagogues, and Unitarians, to mention a few).

(4,298 posts)fear of an unjust, unfair, unequal, undemocratic, non-fascist society. Coupled with the 2nd Amendment decision two days ago, we can no longer count on equal protection under the law (many of us could never anyway), medical health freedom, or any other civil rights including voting rights previously thought to be protected. When the chickens come home what will our nation be?
My fear will carry me to the polls in every election until the day I die.

(1,182 posts)it's not a states rights thing. It's an individual rights thing.
Unless our current slate of federal legislators acts, and acts now, we'll be stuck with this disaster for a generation, if not longer.
I'm baffled how we Dems just keep playing into their hands. We're too tepid to even end the stupid filibuster!
Somehow this is all on US now? We, the poor and quite literally verbally and physically harassed and assaulted minority in ruby red states?
What you been smokin' man?
