Voter apathy has come home to roost.

Voter apathy has given us assaults weapons and now hanger health care.

The soft underbelly of apathetic citizens who can’t be bothered to vote, was exposed in today’s SCOTUS ruling.
Ya get what ya give, and if ya didn’t give a damn, they stepped in and gladly took it.

2. What happened? So many people marched for rights in the 60s

Why was the message not passed on to their kids? Now that I think about it, my own parents didn't mention a peep about voting or anything. By chance I became interested and then later found out that they were on the same page.

Too many things to do, too tired after work, they just "don't feel the urgency" because it doesn't affect them. Because there's just something else that's interesting streaming...
It's just too hard -until there's nothing left to lose.
By then, it's too late to be comfortable and active in rights.
6pm Today, Hall of Justice. Then 7pm March along the waterfront.

Oddly enough, just got a notice from my Federal EMS system that due to today's Roe v Wade decision, to " use caution' in those areas and members are encouraged to "stand clear" if there's no reason to be at the events. I don't remember this message going out for the impromptu George Floyd protests in 2020...

They're not telling employees and service members not to go if they want; just to not get caught up in the area if not part of the rallies, protests, or events tonight and over the weekend. They have the same traffic alert type messages for other large events, including marathon runs and parades.

That was supposed to be the point of the previous generations’ fight for equal rights and bodily autonomy. Giving their daughters what they never had. Unfortunately, we’re learning that no right is safe and forever enshrined into law.

7. So are you going to scold them or encourage them?

How do you respond when someone wants to move you out of your comfort zone and do something different? Are you more likely try if they're berating you or if they're helping you step by step?

It’s almost too late for them. Perhaps we just teach our children well and what it means to be a citizen.
