With so many parts of the country swinging on 48/52% margins this is going to move a lot of needles, nearly all of them in a blue direction. There are still a lot of challenges with the vote suppression, election sabotage, gerrymandering, and other dirty tricks but maybe we now have a chance.

in 2024, they might not need to worry about a Biden veto. Enough representatives in Congress and they can override a veto. Enough election interference in red state legislatures, and they can engineer a win for Trump or DeSantis in 2024.

I do not believe that it is that hopeless for us. But I do believe very much that we cannot underestimate their determination and commitment to make abortion, contraception, same sex marriage illegal throughout the country. They have just won a big battle. They are psyched up to move forward and win the whole war.

We should not underestimate the threat that they pose to democracy.
