(23,222 posts)accidentally fired the shot that fatally wounded Pres. Kennedy. After Oswald's first two shots, the SS car stopped, one agent got out with an assault rifle, and it discharged, wounding JFK in the head. Oswald's "magic bullet" that wounded JFK and Connally did comparatively little damage; the fatal wound did massive damage that couldn't compare to what the "magic bullet" did, so couldn't have come from Oswald's rifle. Nor could the trajectory of the fatal bullet be tied to where Oswald was; it had to have been fired from near ground-level, i.e., from the Secret Service guy's position. And the ammunition from the gun he allegedly carried was designed to do the kind of damage that JFK suffered. So the theory goes.
I almost believe it.
