Adding justices only requires a majority vote in both houses of Congress and the president's signature. If all are controlled by the Democrats, the apparent conservative majority in the Supreme Court could very well be erased.
Not a heavy lift except when it is. Before the midterms, Manchenema stops us.
The midterms may well be too late, but if we prevail with two more senators and hold the House it can be done.

(3,836 posts)4. Agreed it should be done and ASAP, but the WH
has said that President Biden has no interest in expanding the SCOTUS.
"Biden doesn't support expanding the Supreme Court, White House says" -ABC News
"After calls from AOC and other Dems to expand the court, White House says Biden 'does not agree' with the move" -Insider
My question is why?
Didn't 'support' gay marriage. Until he did.

and you're so right. It's a lot easier to slip and tumble into the rabbit hole these days since life has become so bleak.

political leverage applied. All the Democrats need to be on the same sheet of music on whatever the plan gels into.
