Trump's 'girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel' of his SUV, former Secret Service agent says: 'I don't see this president ever being able to do that. Ever.'

Nicole Gaudiano Jun 29, 2022, 4:00 PM

• A past White House aide said Trump lunged for the steering wheel of his SUV and an agent on Jan. 6.

• Former Secret Service agents questioned the account in interviews with Insider.

• One said Trump's "girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel."

Then-President Donald Trump would have had to squeeze through an "extremely tight" space to be able to grab the steering wheel of an SUV and lunge at a Secret Service agent, as a former White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, testified Tuesday.

trust the Secrect Service. After all most law enforcement tilts to authoritarianism anyway. It seems like he had his minions implanted everywhere else. The too fat to reach the steering does make a good point. That's what they always do if they can discredit one part of her testimony
that will discredit all of it to the MAGAts

Remember when he was trying to get his own private body guards to provide security for him instead of accepting Secret Service?

In hindsight, it makes a lot of sense that if he was planning on breaking the law that he wouldn’t want any witnesses there that he couldn’t control.

The real story is the orange motherfucker giving his approval to a heavily armed violent mob to descend on the Capitol building.

10. People are parsing this too literally

1. Cassidy Hutchinson simply relayed what she was told. If the details are sketchy or exaggerated its not on her.

2. "Lunging toward" or "lunging for" the wheel does not mean he actually grabbed the wheel. It means he lunged in that direction.

3. Did Cassidy say she was told that Trump put his hands on clavicle of driver agent? Or another agent, like one in the back seat or passenger side?

4. There is no dispute that he was extremely angry and irate.

I still can’t picture what he imagined he was going to do when he got there. Their power trip fantasies are way beyond my imagination

13. Ornato told her Engel said "Sir, take your hand off the steering wheel"
Fri Jul 1, 2022, 08:58 AM

Ornato also said that Trump lunged with his "free hand" trying to get Engel around the shoulder/neck area.

Hutchinson wasn't there, she only related what Ornato told her. Engel was in the room when Ornato was recounting the event and never objected to, denined or clarified Ornato's story.

My own speculation is that there might be actual video of what happened since the J6 committee showed a short video of the SUV motorcade leaving the rally.

Here's a pretty good shot of the interior of the SUV from Trump's Walter Reed joyride:

it doesn't matter anyway. The goddamn headrest does not go all the way to the headliner, and if he can just get an arm over or around the headrest, his arms are long enough to reach the wheel.

Does the Slobfather even know how to drive? Dude has traveled in limos his entire adult life. I don't think I've ever seen him in the front seat of a car, let alone the driver's seat. Except for that one photo-op in a big rig.
