Dem candidates for Congress and Govs need to be on their best behavior, measured, honest and FACTUAL. The fact are on our side.
The arrest of Dem Rep Judy Chu for protesting is not a 'good thing' pre-election even in a safe district when the Dem message, in part, should be "no one is above the law".

We can win this but Dems need to throw all of the facts at GOP opponents. That Republicans are taking away our rights and destroying democracy.

The J6 Committee and DOJ could have an explosive influence on swing voters but we really shouldn't even count on that.

5. It if you get convicted of a felony or even in some case a misdemeanor....it can prevent you

from accessing student loan money and of course, limiting your ability to get a job...pretty sure the military won't take you either (felony).

6. I would not want any of my kids arrested for protesting...I can do it as what can they really do to

me? I am older and established...but protesting can impact your future...make no mistake about that. I went to the women's march in 17...it was very peaceful...I lost my mind and decided to climb the fence (remember good old protest days) that led to Pennsylvania Avenue...my college-age daughter is like 'Mom are you nuts we will both get arrested and I would lose my student loans...I said no you won't but she would have.

Later I checked and she was right. I climbed down reluctantly...was really caught up in the moment...I have been to protests and marches before...pro-choice in the 90's and other stuff...LGBTQ and Pride as well...but the Woman's march stands out to me as the day we began to end Trump's reign of terror.

It was the grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo who were effective in civil disobedience in Argentina.

Civil disobedience needs planning, discipline and being prepared for the indignities and potential violence of jailing and imprisonment.
