(7,737 posts)I am telling my husband- I would be willing to put money on Cascadia trying to leave to join Canada, as well as Vermont and New Hampshire.

(1,535 posts)While I can't predict the future, I really don't wish that on my fellow Midwesterners.
The dissolution of America isn't happening at a state level. It's actually happening at a county and township level.
That really makes state secession unviable, while it makes local civil unrest more likely. IMO don't think American civil war, think the break up of Yugoslavia.

(1,603 posts)Vancouver is considered the northern part of the Puget Sound, while Seattle is the southern part. Vancouver, WA, is also just across the Columbia river from Portland (and was the home of the original Ft. Vancouver before it relocated to Victoria in 1862).
Southern Cascadia would jump at the chance to join Northern Cascadia.
