(24,334 posts)it would be foolish to tear them out. They will only wind up having to replace them eventually. Meter them and charge for them, but don't get rid of them.

(12,682 posts)A customer with a car charging will tend to linger so the car can charge longer for free. Which means more purchases, ever if it's just a drink and a snack to sit an extra 15 minutes or so.
I see it at the Target when I go for curbside. I see folks at the EV chargers are typically sauntering to their car with a Starbucks or snack bag along with a pretty full cart, instead of rushing out with a single bag or half-empty cart like most of the other shoppers.
There's rarely any hurry.
