(58,785 posts)have been developed since this valuable oldie. Insurance companies aren't going to like to be required to cover far more expensive replacement drugs for those patients who can't get this any more, but a legitimate medication requirement is a legitimate medication requirement. This one treats some very heavy-duty problems.
In some places I imagine the law will be amended, pharmacies will do what they can and/or have to, and patients will be prescribed and obtain the legal drugs they need. Until we pass a new national abortion law that eliminates these new problems away.
As for me, I think I won't be mentioning that I have methotrexate in the house. Not because I'm worried but out of normal caution, like not blabbing about an unopened bottle of oxycodone in the medicine cabinet. This is Georgia, and that I have it is something authorities could easily determine if investigating a relative. I've asked about relatives close and extended, though, and they, or others for them, say they have their birth control well in hand and aren't worried for themselves.
I hope that pharmacies that unnecessarily get between patients and the drugs they need will find they're usually given one chance EVER to correct the mistake. Most customers these days have various easy options without having to seek the help of what will be many aid organizations.
