Good guy with a gun stories pop up just often enough

It seems like every other week there is a story where a good guy with a gun saves his family or someone else, the amazing thing is how much more air time these stories get in comparison to the unlawful use of firearms. I know people get excited about people who fight back against criminals and I am certainly not knocking these people who defended themselves or others but you would thing there would be some parity in how the stories are covered.

Honestly I’m very glad she wasn’t armed, she just hid behind something, when it was over went on to work. They arrested the shooter a 14-year-old, the victim was also shooting. I don’t think more guns would’ve helped the situation. It does bring the gun violence problem closer to home for me

Stories from across the country are repeated to show the need for everyone to own a gun. This week was the Florida attempted home invasion where the home owner chased off the robbers. The man used his gun legally to defend his home and his family but I can't understand what is with all the local backslapping.

of children accidentally killing other children with a gun. A 5 or even 10 year old doesn’t really understand the danger of a gun they find somewhere in the home.
I know I have seen stats before of how much more likely a gun is to accidentally kill someone as opposed to preventing a crime or assault.

We had a 4 yr old girl paralyzed from being shot by her 8 yr old sister. The parents did not have guns in their house - the kids (3) saw a friend of their father put a gun up above a doorway and they retrieved it when they had a baby sitter. Luckily, the girl was able to walk again but unable to move her arm.

The whole concept is BS, these stories don't exist.
I have been laid up watching media, these stories don't exist.

These stories are over reported in red areas to drum up opposition to gun control and the stories you speak of are played down, it would be nice if everything was reported equally rather than with an agenda.

Homeowner dropped his first weapon and it was picked up by one of the people trying to get in. He (assuming it was a he) was able to retreat into the house and grab another weapon. He fired a bunch of shots but I didn't read there were any injuries.

Maybe he wasn't trying to hit them?

Anyway, not so well regulated.
