If you need a break from all the stress and you have the next hour to spare

I invite you to turn on ESPN and watch the second half of the semi final match between France and Germany's womens teams in the UEFA 2022 tournament.

The winner will go up against England.

Lots of talent on display from some very gifted footballers, and in this current period of mysogenism a welcome middle finger raised.

…being the Anglo/Celtic blend, so I’ll be cheering for England but would be happy for Germany if they should triumph.

Unlike one of the commentators, I will NOT be hoping for a shootout. Shootouts always give me a knot in my gut, almost as if it were my kids playing.

But English football hasn't done a damn thing since 1966...

Hopefully England's women can pull this off.

I'll pick up a few pints and settle in for Sunday morning.
