(82,849 posts)Which is to say, on the meaningless vote, they were in favor of helping out poisoned and debilitated veterans. When it came time to actually help clean up the mess left over from Dubya's Most Excellent Wars and Occupations, they voted no. Lots of money for rockets and explosions and bang-bangs; no money for the folks dying to carry out their fiendish desires.

(17,912 posts)the campaign ads write themselves. IF....Dems are brave enough to use them. Fortune favors the bold.

(205,320 posts)I don't know how many times I've thought how different this country would be if they hadn't "stopped the count" in 2000.

(3,871 posts)One would think that he would support veterans...
...but it seems that he just cannot do it.
He seems fine with people being sent to war but just cannot seem to bring himself to care about their needs after their service.

(109 posts)Yep, I caught that on all the ads on my local news here in the great state of KS. He voted against the bill. Do not give up on us, we are here. I will note one thing, last night Kris Kobach was having the Trump endorsement on his ads, but not tonight, he left that out, no Trump endorsement. Interesting?

(109 posts)On the local news they had a story about how someone had their vote Yes sign stole, so I think they put an electric fence around their next sign. So they are the ones making the news, not the No signs that were stolen. I am personally fearful of putting up a sign, I am afraid they will bomb my house. These guys are scary

(2,787 posts)I've wanted to put up a sign, but I couldn't find an HQ in this little town to get one. You're probably right, tho... could have brought in a bunch of trouble, and I've got critters inside and out (wild life) I consider. Still, the Vote No is so important to me this time around, I was really disappointed in not finding a Dem HQ. Sis found an R HQ without any problems... she was looking for D, as well. Told her the D offices in a lot of places are targeted for vandalism, etc. I wouldn't put it past 'em to do something like that around here. (sigh)
Good on ya for voting early! I still have to take a look at the online ballot, check it out, and do research over the weekend on it. They always have those few (like judges) that don't declare party. I want to know who I'm voting for! I like going as prepared as possible. I've got hubby so spoiled now, he doesn't want to go until I give him a list of who and what to vote! We're very good Dems. (LOL)

Is he the most progressive candidate you've ever seen? No. Is he 1000 times better than Todd Young? Oh my God, yes. So much. So much better.
