If FOX leaves Trump, he is finished.

He was almost totally dependent on his own propaganda news outlet for the last 7 or so years. He always had someone to cover for him and to lie for him. They kept his base in line and always gave him an audience.

If Murdoch has made the decision to move away from Trump, that is likely the end of Trump's political career. He cannot survive without a propaganda station willing to spread his anger and bullshit.

But, why now? Perhaps they believe he has become a liability, both financially and legally?

Are the days of whine and roses now over?

just for the sake of Trump. Commercials, etc.

And it depends if another media outlet would take Trump and challenge FOX for media attention and income.

According to Jared's book (based on his version of The Truth), Murdoch wasn't enthusiastic about Trump during the primaries, didn't see him as a winner and Jared talked him out of it.

Now Trump is out of the WH, off Twitter, and yesterday's news. Even the rallies don't drum up the same rancor and outrage and crowds. They're kind of nostalgic. That doesn't pay the bills at FOX.

OTOH, it also depends if FOX can find a replacement for TFG, to keep viewers. They may well return to TFG if they can't.

Having said that, I will believe they are deserting Trump when I see it.

If Trump somehow retains his MAGA followers in spite of the FOX shade and secures the nomination, they'll be back kissing his ass as if nothing ever happened.

They're nothing more than opportunists, after all.
