(12,600 posts)Record Increase Expected for Social Security Checks Next Year. Here's How Much You Could Receive
This year, beneficiaries already received the biggest boost to their checks in nearly four decades.
In January, payments rose by 5.9%, working out to about $93 more a month for the average recipient.
For the nearly 70 million Americans who receive Social Security, next year's increase will likely be even bigger -- between $130 and $180 more a month, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan think thank.
Hope this helps.

(17,543 posts)I've seen news stories that say 2022 Medicare part B premiums were too high and will result in a decrease in 2023. That would increase the net SS recipients would receive in their payments.

My Military retirement COLA is going to be a moderate increase.

An 8-10% boost across the board would be a huge deal.
October is when it would be officially announced.
