that they did not thoroughly read the DOJ filing or they did not understand it. I mean JFC these people are stupid. Here is the other thing their reply is supposed to be limited to 10 pages unless they get special permission to go over, from the judge as the DOJ got permission to go over 20 pages.

His lawyers ask this judge to exercise equitable jurisdiction. That’s gobbledygook. Honestly, it looks like something a mediocre first year law student would (de)generate. Maybe Tiffany ghost wrote it.

I’ll add this makes Cannon’s statement all the more worrisome.
DOJ will double down every time from here on. My how the worm turns.

and obvious shameless gambling that they can make baseless claims to get this Trump appointed judge to go along with his imperial Presidency notions enough to tie up the legal system in knots as he postpones accountability for his illegal actions.
