Biden's Approval Rating Surges/Half of Americans say "lock 45 up": New Quinnipiac Poll

https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3854

Americans 50 - 41 percent think former President Trump should be prosecuted on criminal charges over his handling of classified documents after leaving the White House.

Six weeks after President Joe Biden scored the lowest marks of his presidency, his job approval rating has jumped to a level not seen since September 2021. Americans give President Biden a negative 40 - 52 percent job approval rating compared to the negative 31 - 60 percent job approval rating he received in July, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University national poll of adults released today.

Democrats (83 - 10 percent) approve of the way Biden is handling his job, compared to a 71 - 18 percent job approval rating in Quinnipiac University's July 20, 2022 poll. In today's poll, Republicans (92 - 5 percent) and independents (55 - 36 percent) disapprove of Biden's job performance.

Registered voters give Biden a negative 41 - 53 percent job approval rating, compared to a negative 33 - 59 percent job approval rating in July.

That approval rating amongst Democrats is also more than high enough to shut down any and all speculation that President Biden won't be running for re-election.

2. Not all politicians have that "the more you see of them, the more you like them" effect.

Dr. Oz, for example.

3. Which is interesting because only a small % of adults watch the news.

About 5% of the adult population watches cable news and the broadcast news networks get around 6 to 8 million viewers each per night.

Admittedly, I wasn’t expecting a lot to come out of Biden’s presidency. I had no doubt he would be competent in handling the day-to-day requirements of the office, but I didn’t expect any notable policy to be enacted.

Boy, was I wrong about that!

... he's done an excellent job. These approval ratings are overrated. I remember all the bad approval ratings for "Obamacare" - they included people who thought it wasn't progressive enough... people want Biden to do more. Also, the "right direction"/"wrong direction" polls are dumb. People see Roe - Wade end and think "wrong direction" - then FOX News says that poll means people think Biden is bad.

Those pundits are trying to steer the ship of public opinion away from favorability for Democratic government. That's obviously their go-to, their entente position and has been, at least, since Nixon's downfall. That club has placed more presidents into office than either party. They seem to consistently fear that Democrats, given their way, would exercise the rights of the public to the benefit of the public a bit more than their masters would be comfortable with.

Cowardly masters! Can't make it paycheck to paycheck because they're poor budgeters and they know it. Fearful masters!

He will do what is best for the country without ego getting in the way. One thing he does know is how to win elections. I don’t think he’s ever lost in a general election. I don’t remember when he first ran for county council that was in the 60s
