. . . . . I am not a person who dreams very much and of those few dreams I do have, all are happy. I literally cannot recall ever having a nightmare.
Last night/this morning was no different. The dream, like many, seemed to only last a second or two, so this recounting is longer.
In my dream the midterms see the Democrats not only hold the congress, but make some modest gains. In the Senate we get three more seats. With that, we end the filibuster for certain types of bills.
In the House, a bill to protect by law a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions.
The bill goes to the Senate and very quickly to Biden's desk for signature.
That's the long version of the dream.
The short version is the GOP tale of woe:
They overturn Roe . . . . that literally changes the national zeitgeist to favor the Democrats . . . . they lose the Congress again as a result of their overreach . . . . and their pipe dream of standing on the necks and uteruses of women evaporates.
I felt good this morning!!!!
It CAN happen!!!!
