24. This was the moment Joe Biden was meant to lead

It's why I supported his candidacy and vote enthusiastically for his rise to POTUS. I believed not only would he win but that he could lead us out of the darkness that Trump and his minions tried so hard to impose on the Nation.

It's been an uphill battle but President Biden has pushed and pushed and pushed and never stopped believing in our better angels. His is a voice for the future, not the varnished over past, the rewritten histories the GOP is so eager to impose on the public mind. It's a voice of optimism and hope but also a voice willing to call out the anti-democratic forces, the Trumpster's Magat strain that threatens our very foundations.

It was direct. It was passionate and true. It was pure Joe Biden.

Bravo, Mr. President. Bravo!

President Biden cannot do the heavy lifting by himself. He needs us and we need him to break through the the Magat grip on the country and to preserve our open society, our ideals (still a work-in-progress) and our future. For ourselves, our children, our grand babies.

We can do this! Together.

41. Speech of a lifetime!!!
Thu Sep 1, 2022, 09:06 PM
Sep 2022

I had the volume up so I think that everyone on my floor in my apartment building heard it with me.

I sat watching and listening alone, but clapped with the live audience several times.

Dark Brandon rose to the sky tonight.

This was Churchill saying "We will fight them on the beaches." It was FDR saying, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself." It was JFK saying, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." It was Barack Obama saying, "There is not a liberal America and a conservative America; there is the United States of America." It was Benjamin Franklin saying, "We have a republic, if you can keep it."

Joe Biden's speech tonight, his Save Democracy speech, is in the same category of greatness as many of his predecessors who embraced democracy and opposed its enemies.

Thank you, Mr. President, for a speech that will go down in history.

Now, it is up to us to not let him or the country down. Vote out the MAGAs and get everyone you know to do the same.
