I missed the speech, and turned to CNN when I got home where I heard someone supposedly

analyzing the presentation, talking about how the speech sounded like a convention speech, and how the majority don’t want Biden running in 2024.

WTF does any of that have to do with about the substance of the speech

Needless to say I turned to MSNBC

Added later:

It looks like my brief impression was correct

It did sound like he was on the campaign trail, but it also put to rest any suggestions that he is deteriorating mentally. He was strong, full of life, and looked every bit Presidential.
The content of his speech will amaze you.

... watched it on NBC... I did switch over to FOX to see if they were covering... there was a commercial on... it was a fine speech. I never think of Biden as a great speech-maker, but he's been really great. I guess CNN is in one of their "look at us, we're not liberal" moods.

He used to work for McConnell. That is the reason, I really don't watch them, just turned to see their perspective while waiting for Chris to come back.

They know he's doing a fantastic job, they know that most of the country has recognized he's doing a job that is by far better than his predecessor, that Biden can beat tfg, and it's even more certain he can beat him today than it was in 2020.

A lot of powerful, moneyed interests are unhappy about that.

Every tiny chance to say so, they're going to find someone to take jabs at President Biden and pooh-pooh a run in 2024, but not because he's is a bad candidate. It's because he's an excellent candidate for reelection and that's not what they want.

It's doubtful they missed the point of the speech, if they bothered to listen at all. They don't care about what President Biden had to say. In their eyes, it's not about the country. Everything is all about them. It's about them and their petty, selfish interests, interests not served and catered to by a president who actually performs the job as intended.
