Joe could have delivered his more typical palsy-walsy, civilized, statesman-like, unifying message and the MAGA bunch would have still criticized it...for something. The background Marines or the red curtains, whatever. And Trump would have made the same, or similar bullshit speech at his rally. It's OK if he says the 'left' is destroying the country...
Biden needs to double, triple, quadruple, quintuple down on the same fucking message till election day. I don't know if it's good politics or not but the palsy-walsy approach shit hasn't worked and there's no indications it will. Let Trump continue to whine about the stolen election and let the MAGA bunch bluster over inflation, crime and the southern border.
