The body of the young teacher, who kidnapped while jogging last week, was found this morning.
The 34 teacher was the granddaughter of a wealthy businessman. She was married and had 2 children.
This is horrible ending to sad case. My heart goes out to her family and her friends.
Story from USA Today.

(51,308 posts)I used to run in the early morning hours during my working days.
Always on alert. A car slowed, stopped, even came near..Id cross the road and run like hell.
Once stalked in the daytime while home during college. Never will forget it because I came home and told my dad. He went off, we got in the car and when I spotted the stalker, dad turned into a man I had never known. They guy saw us following and took off. I was able to stop my dad from running lights and so on. I wonder if I shouldnt have. My dad would have hurt that man, I have no doubt.
Two joggers attacked in the months after. They guy was finally caught. After two rapes and assaults.
This story hits home. 50 years later and I remember his face, the color and make of his car
everything.

They are dangerous beasts for the most part and will not ever change.
There are those that think we should give them cookies and pat their heads because they just need kindness and then they will be kind.

(12,904 posts)The cross country teams would run up and down the main road in front of the school for practice. After watching the way the girls team was treated by passers by, I called the schools track coach one day.
I told him I lived in a quiet, single outlet street right off that main road, and my neighbors, and those kids and their parents, would be thrilled if they would do their practicing on our quiet streets.
Result: I get to watch the track team train right out my door every day for years now! Coach drives around on a bicycle. Kids very much safer.
