(42,770 posts)It is SO simple and easy to view and link in to articles. Used to like long ago since he somehow got access to exit polls. That was before they stopped publishing them.
Then he was hard right.
But then he started hating Trump. It's not an opinion website it is simply a consolidation of various articles from across the spectrum. The editorial nature comes in by what he selects to put on there and what he selects to be the lead story.

(38,556 posts)and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Years ago when I first got here, I was made aware of the site w/ the RWNJs (Right-Wing Nut Jobs). They were CRAZY about George W. Bush--absolutely loved him. And Drudge was one of the news sites that was deemed acceptable and appropriate over there.
Now, of course, the Nut Jobs can't stand GWB, and Drudge is hardly ever cited in their forums.
All testament to their transition from crazy to beyond help. ONLY MAGA-world works for MAGA-world.
And it goes without saying that in their minds "the left has gone far too extreme for real America."
It's going to be important for Democrats to not be dragged too far into the middle. If we, in the process of trying to "work with Republicans" move too far to the middle, they will march EVEN further to the right--so as to continue their argument that we're "extremists." We can't let the 25%-30% of the country (the MAGAts) have that much control of the narrative of political discourse.

(58,785 posts)However, that last paragraph doesn't resonate. America's liberalism-dominated Democratic Party has been wonderfully ideologically stable for many decades, since liberals took it back over early in the last century. (This is in spite of the effect of the rabidly conservative Southern conservative bloc that remained until the 1960s out of hatred for the Republican "Yankees." )
This has been proven by many studies. We've provided the stability that's saved our nation from being torn apart.
The frequent accusations and warnings that we are/are becoming too conservative, etc, come from those farther left who always feel the party's vast body of mainstream progressive liberals is too conservative and imagine that'll somehow influence at least some of us their direction.
No doubt they're sincere, but their notions do not reflect our reality any more than the MAGAs' claims that we're LW extremists do.
Bottom line on this is -- we don't drag. Not a worry.
