What is the primary reason Trump has not been subpoenaed?

Is it because they know he would lie and try to spin it to his advantage?

Or they expect he would take the Fifth and refuse to tell them anything?

Or maybe they are trying to uncover all the people that assisted him in the theft of America's crown jewels of national secrets?

Or maybe they have talked to him already?

It is very unlikely that the J6 Committee would want to interfere with the DOJ investigation in any way. It would be surprising to see a subpoena from them, in my opinion.

However, it just seems to the common folks that he should be subpoenaed and grilled about the stolen documents. If he did not cooperate, he should be indicted immediately. No deals. No options. No choices.

Once Trump accepts he has no way out and he's about to be indicted, I can see him agreeing to a plea deal. He'll probably release some form of public statement (no live tv apologies for Trump), vaguely acknowledge his past crimes, promise to stop fomenting future unrest and reluctantly retires from politics. A Trump arrest and trial would bring this country to a standstill.

with the advent of social media there are no secrets..and subpoenaed by who..the J6 committee or DOJ?…as for the J6 committee, Trump would ignore the subpoena, then go to court to have it quashed..and if that failed he would plead the 5th , claim he’s victim, and spew profane insults and threats…basically a waste of time

As for the documents…when Garland is ready he’ll speak through the courts…

Can you imagine how many different statutes apply and how many counts would likely be included? Dozens. Probably more than we could even imagine.

They don't need Trump's testimony to nail him. They just need corroboration among the witnesses and documentary proof. I have a feeling Mark Meadows has sung like a canary, and others without name recognition have also testified.

It's taken this long because the task is immense, the witnesses had to be dragged in, and MG is methodical and slow. But I have no doubt he's building, not just a case, but a multitude of cases against DJT.

The fact that there are many, in law enforcement, including the DOJ, and up to and including the Secret Service, who are loyal to Trump and probably just waiting for the proper opportunity to strike.

Trump has not been subpoenaed because a lot of people want to see him win -- and we have done a very poor job of actually dealing with the enemies of our Constitution on this side of the pond.
