Carter's evangelical background usually keeps me from bad-mouthing the evangelical community as a whole. But there sure are a lot of "Christians" who have nothing good to say about Carter.
I suspect Carter would be much happier being known for actually being a great human being rather than being known for being a great POTUS.

(2,030 posts)seeing a tradition he started come back to life. President and First lady Obama were probably the cherry on top for him. I bet that grin was as big as it had ever been. What a great birthday present.

That said, we should also give Jackie Kennedy high praise for restoring the WH, promoting historic
Preservation and of course creating that rose garden that the Slobfather and his panty model destroyed
