NEW: The Michigan Supreme Court just directed the State Board of Canvassers to place two constitutional amendments back on November's ballot: one to protect abortion rights, one to strengthen voting rights.

It rebukes Republicans on the Board who blocked the measures last week.

The abortion question establishes a constitutional right to reproductive privacy, and the voting measure will allow 9 days of advance voting, AND continue, via the constitution, the right to vote without having to present a government ID. We only require a signed identity affidavit today. Republicans have been repeatedly trying to prevent people from voting.
