Rudy Giuliani says that 9/11 was, in some ways, the greatest day of his life

Days before the 21st anniversary of the attacks of 9/11, Rudy Giuliani appeared on Newsmax to discuss what it was like to serve as Mayor of New York City during that time. Looking back at the events that transpired after two planes flew into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, Giuliani describes his feelings as "complex."

"I guess the best way to describe it is it was the worst day of my life and in some ways, you know, the greatest day of my life in terms of my city, my country, my family," Giuliani says.

"It was the worst foreign attack on this country since the war of 1812," Giuliani continued. "It was a complete surprise. It was an attack on completely innocent people and I watched it first-hand."

Describing the first "shocking incident" the former mayor witnessed after the attacks, Giuliani recalls seeing a man jump 101 floors from one of the towers.

And it's all gone downhill from there. Once you were America's Mayor. Now you're Trump's attorney and lacky. You'll be lucky if the dotard pays you.

... it did make him popular again. Scandals reached a tipping point before 9/11, and his popularity was going down fast - 9/11 made people forget the bad personal stuff that was redefining his image.

.... no matter how much Rudy fucked things up that day and before. New Yorkers were glad to greet him with open arms because he did not have a vest wrapped around his chest cavity wired with explosives and bombs detonated to go off any second he pushed the thumb button.

What a relief on 9-11. Rudy was not wired with plastic C-4 bombs and about ready to explode on Park Avenue and take half the city with him.

Other than that Rudy is a royal fuck up and as time goes on his conduct is increasingly and shamelessly treasonous. Benedict Arnold would spit in Rudy's face because of his flagrant disregard for anything to do with being patriotic and his total lack of a desire to defend or protect the US Constitution.

Rudy is a mindless lap dog for tRUMP,... and beyond that he has no redeeming values to offer his country.

He is a crazy old drunkard of a conniving Fascist fool. No wonder Rudy and tRUMP are so chummy chummy. They are near identical peas derived from the same pod.

it bolstered his sagging image…some more things you don’t say out loud. That 9-11 Rudy doesn’t exist anymore…if it ever really existed I don’t know.
