there are too many situations to negotiate.

Surrender then let the chips fall where they may.

Russia has hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian kidnapped citizens.

The monsters among them need to be held accountable. The poor average guy who probably wasn't into inhumane acts should be able to go home.
