You had to know sooner or later that one of them would be a big enough of a jerk that no one wants to be around them.
Small wonder TFG isn't going to the funeral.
Seriously, does anybody doubt that he'd try to make the event about himself?

(32,826 posts)That was in 2018 when he was still POTUS, and it was sort of insulting. But they really didn't want him then, and they don't want him now for Elizabeth's funeral. Can anyone blame them?

The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

(51,643 posts)so he can see the fanfare, etc after his death. I really wouldn't be surprised if he actually did this. Even though he will be seen as the scum of the earth by most Americans when he drops dead he will never see that perspective. When people are dancing in the streets his narcissistic, sociopathic pea brain will convince himself that they are his fans mourning his loss.

(9,973 posts)... it's timing. If she'd have died earlier, the Trumps would have been invited. The Royal Family is all about protocol... however, given that he's not the current President, an omission is wonderfully deliberate!

He'd have found some way to blather on about how the US should have followed the British model and made him president for life.
