Three loaded handguns and 62 rounds of ammunition were seized from a Hempfield man Saturday after Delmont police said he took one of the weapons into the Route 66 Dairy Queen.

Jan V. Stawovy, 61, is charged with firearms not to be carried without a license, person not to possess, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.

At the time, there were customers inside the Dairy Queen, and several people with intellectual disabilities were headed inside the restaurant, police said. A loaded gun was found in Stawovy’s pocket.

Stawovy told investigators he had it to protect himself from drug traffickers, intended to kill “Democrats and liberals” and wanted to “restore (former President Donald) Trump to President king of the United States,” police said in a news release.

10. This would probably have been Legal in many states including nearby WV and OH.

That Constitutional Carry BS lets people carry concealed weapons unless they have a mental or criminal record. No background check or training or license needed. A constitutional carry bill for PA was vetoes by the Democratic governor there just last December.

Many of these states have had open carry for quite some time. There have been photos of guys open carrying several pistols at the same time ordering at a counter.

Most states do have built into the law where a business can post a no weapons sign and they are not suppose to legally have a weapon. But hey- concealed right?

This guy is off his rocker, but unless he has had previous run ins with the law or mental health he would be good to go in the Constitutional Carry states.
