They made no mention of how that happened.

No mention that there was already an independent council, Robert Fiske, looking into Whitewater. No mention that they suddenly replaced him with Ken Starr, a right-wing, partisan Republican whose appointment to investigate a Democrat was shocking from the day it happened. And certainly no mention that the vote to replace Fiske with Starr was a 2 to 1 party line vote.

The day that Judge David Sentelle arranged for Ken Starr to launch his never-ending Clinton investigation was one of the most significant turning points in American history. It may very well have been the most important thing that happened to put us on the road to fascism that we are now heading down.

That investigation, and what the GOP was allowed to get away with, was a real turning point in American history.

Clinton wasn't running around the country and holding rallies, complaining about the unfairness of the whole thing (although I'm sure he didn't like it).
