I am still dismayed that some of these elections are close. It's one thing that people always vote for the generic "R". But these candidates are loathsome, despicable, lying and at times certifiable.
What is ominous is that so many clearly crazy and or ignorant Republicans are winning the nominations and then run neck and neck with the clearly more qualified, intelligent and sane Democrat. And in Republican safe districts (which we have in abundance thanks to gerrymandering) will be in office.
There are just too many Americans supporting this lunacy, or not caring or thinking about the consequences when they take power.
End of rant

I recall your posting your thinking it unfair to call that into question recently, given changes ongoing at CNN. Perhaps you'd like to expand on your thoughts on that score?

(33,575 posts)I have been very vocal about CNN's slide into Fox Lite. And have called out "Both Sides" bullshit often.
I also post about the media accepting the GOP narratives.

(33,575 posts)the one about 538 and the polls.
I thought it was interesting and worth the read. I didn't endorse it. But the polls have been off the last few elections and we need to keep aware of that.
Is posting articles from the NY Times without condemning it now forbidden on DU?
You are saying things about me based on one posting out of the nearly 30,000 I have hear over the last two decades.
I call bullshit!

(33,575 posts)Were did I support Both Sides and not criticize the MSM for their complicity? I really don't know what you are talking about?
Sorry for the language, but I feel I am being unfairly criticized, and I'm from New York.

Also, how is linking that post a violation of TOS. People quote other's posts here all the time.

I doubt it though these people believe they're voting the way God wants them to🙄
And we all know how apologetic they are about that thing

(3,696 posts)I find many of the polls showing very close races are Internal polls. These polls are usually designated as such IF you read the fine print. The 538 site denotes these polls as such with an asterisk but they still include them in their averages.

(33,575 posts)I just got pillared for linking an NYTimes article from Silver about how the polls were off.
Some acted as if I linked to Breitbart.

(15,398 posts)Warnock I have no idea, but I think it goes to a runoff, and then we have an advantage in December. Fetterman wins easily, all he has to do is not back out of the proposed October debates.
