I have never been so disgusted about living in Texas as I am right now. But I know Abutt is just
getting started with his despicable mini-trumpian theatrics. What a vile, disgusting pig. There is no bottom when it comes to his depravity. Jeebus. Any other Texans or Floridians equally nauseous about their political leadership and how are you dealing?

5. Does the Bible and the teachings of Jesus condone this?
Probably not.
Hypocrisy of Christianity runs rampant in these people. |

4. One would imagine that being a wheelchair, Abbott would have a heightened sense of
humanity, like FDR.
Apparently he's taken his personal antagonism and anger and has projected it upon others. |

9. A perfect example
"Apparently he's taken his personal antagonism and anger and has projected it upon others."
Abbott received multiple lump sum payments from a lawsuit concerning the accident that put him in a wheel chair. He also receives $14000 a month for life as part of that settlement. Yet he worked and help pass tort reform which took away such compensation for others. Also, he will receive a pension and healthcare from the state of texas when we finally do get rid of him, yet he zealously and gleefully will not allow poor people to have health care in Texas. That's meaness for meaness sake. Repubs are eaten up with this mindset. |

11. But look, the congressman that got shot at the baseball game is more pro-gun than ever
This kind of resolution of dissonance is becoming an important skill in Republican politics

7. I'm disgusted
by the whole bunch. Abbott, Danny (Goeb) Patrick, and Ken Paxton are the trifecta of evil. No heart, no soul amongst them.

12. Sixth generation Texan here.
No realistic chance of moving out of the state or I would have already done that.
I understand your nausea and fear. Been sensing it for years and screaming at the top of my lungs to try to get people to understand. Do you know how many times I was told “oh, Roe will never be overturned”??? By both Democrats and Republicans. I cope on a day to day basis and try to encourage people to register to vote and to vote blue. Beto has Republicans scared right now, I believe, or they wouldn’t be pushing back so hard. But I doubt he will win. It won’t be about the vote or about change or about right versus wrong. It will be about the fact that Republicans cheat and the fix is already in. Democrats are going to have to learn to fight dirty. Because playing by the rules against an opponent who won’t play by the rules makes us a loser every time. |
