I shake my head in obvious disgust and curl my lip when I encounter a MAGA cap or a "Let's Go Brandon!" tee shirt. If the wearer wants to "have a discussion" about it I am prepared to do that.

My brother and his wife are maga types and i have been the opposite for ever (read liberal democrat). i know during the war of southern ignorance when a popular saying was "brother against brother" was most likely meant both figuratively and factually, I can't help but see our current moment as quickly approaching this.

We used to have, frequently heated arguments but now have (because we still love each other) decided to not talk about "it" at all, thus allowing us to spend some time together. I mean we talked all our lives about politics. Now not ever. (As a side note) it is bizarre how many topics we are limited to due to there tangential relation to "it". More and more we don't talk at all. Is this where we are all headed?
