Trump is trying to create his narrative before there is even an indictment.

He is hustling to get all the free media he can get, in order to get out his "side" of the story. He was able to nab Hannity and FOX for a couple of nights, after scoring on the Hugh Hewitt radio show a few nights ago. He is in a full court press with his "narrative". He is attempting to incite his followers, just as he did before January 6th.

Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to get his message out with his lawyers answering questions before assorted judges. They dare not repeat his falsehoods under oath or in front of a judge.

Trump is acting as if he is already in the middle of his trial. He is attempting to set the stage and create the story line before the real trial begins. For example, "How do we know the FBI did not plant the evidence?" And he gets his most loyal sycophants to repeat it over and over. Everyone need not hear his message - only his followers and his cult.

However, Judge Dearie, the Special Master, is not playing his game. When the outlandish claims are made, such as "planting evidence", he is asking for proof - under oath. This puts Trump's attorneys in a very tight spot.

The truth is their most deadly enemy.

His attorneys were barred from using all of Trump's outlandish election theft conspiracy theories in court without any supporting evidence. That still didn't stop Trump from spreading lies to incite the MAGA mob on 1/6.

..he was not able to change the election results. We now know what he is capable of doing as a domestic terrorist.

Arguably, the ban on assault weapons in court pre-empts the pre-emptions.

When he says that the people of this country will not sit for it, he means "his people will stand to defend him".

Yesterday Trump went all in on QAnon—no more winking—sharing this content on Truth Social. Note in particular the meme of an imaginary Punisher force, accompanying memes promising military tribunals and executions.

To those long aware of the winking relationship between Trump and QAnon, this may not seem like news. I think it is: as close as Trump has come to openly committing to the murder of his political enemies.
