CORRECTION. Earlier reports suggesting that Russian conscripts get only one day of training before being sent to front may be incorrect. New report says they get ZERO days.

(18,633 posts)While there were exceptions most Iraqi troops were well equipped. They were not prepared to fight a modern professional military. Also neither they nor we were aware how great the technology gap had become.

since these are artillery battles, the Ukrainians will have to kill these poor bastards just the same as if they were Wagner mercenaries.

(669 posts)The Russians are including those conscripts who just finished their service in this latest mobilization. Its probably these recently released soldiers who are being sent straight to the front.

(669 posts)and the Russians don't have the resources to train everyone they are mobilizing. Plus the authorities don't care about fairness.
