Another One Bites the Dust: Dr. Oz Takes Back His Election Denial

Yet another election denier on the campaign trail has reversed his position as the general elections inch closer. TV personality-turned-Senate hopeful Mehmet Oz announced that he doesn’t actually think the 2020 election was illegitimate, despite courting true believers in the past.

Oz has been running to represent Pennsylvania in the Senate against Democrat John Fetterman, partially through an online tete-a-tete using Internet memes (to varying effect). The Republican nominee has also been winking at denying the results of the 2020 election to curry favor with Trump supporters, while trying not to alienate swing voters at the same time.

At a Pennsylvania Senate debate back in April, he said that “we cannot move on” from the election, and that it was a “tragedy” that Republican voters in the state should have to question the results.

He also gave a noncommittal response when asked directly whether he believed the election was stolen on Fox News earlier this month. “There’s lots more information we have to gather in order to determine that and I’d be very desirous of gathering some,” he said.

He’s notably refused to clarify his beliefs on the topic—that is, until Wednesday.

Election denial only plays with the magats so he has no choice but to flip flop now. He will, of course, play along with repugs election laws to suppress voting but he is lying to try and get elected. I expect this will still not work for him because it will alienate the magats.

Fetterman is going to be an excellent senator for PA.

His campaign is throwing everything at the wall hoping something sticks. Or is this case, scraping things off the wall.

The Oz campaign is spending a tremendous amount of money on TV ads. My husband was watching football on Sunday and counted 10 Oz ads all trashing John Fetterman. The latest I understand is accusing John Fetterman of not paying his taxes. Another one was complaining about how Fetterman dresses and presents himself. A kick to the balls of all things considered 'authority,' the good doctor declared.

Needless to say, he hasn't spent much time in Pennsylvania or in the parts of Jersey I'm from. LOL.

On and on, it goes. It's not, however, moving the needle.

They should save their money to get their own membership out of hot water as these J6th investigations ramp up.

As much money as McConnell's PAC may spend on TV, they've been thoroughly outfoxed in the digital sphere. Fetterman is King on the digital landscape from what I've read taking full advantage of the digital platforms and eyeballs.

John Fetterman has also hit the Golden Percentile of 50 in several recent polls. In fact, I noticed an uptick in Fetterman's support in northeastern PA counties. Prior support was very strong in Philly (and the collar counties/communities), as well as the southwestern region of the state.

Think we're seeing things solidify which is great for PA and the rest of the country.

Go Big John! We all need ya.
