It threatens supply lines to all of Crimea and most of the Southern Russian front. They can still supply through occupied South Ukraine, but much of that is within HIMARS range.

Russia's WWII level strategy and tactics ain't cutting it on the modern battlefield with us providing Ukraine with equipment and training.

The rail bridge collapsing onto the vehicle bridge would have created more damage and caused the Russian's more headaches, which is a good thing.

BTW, as a former military engineer, I can tell you that the structural damage to those other 2 lanes will be compromised and will have to be thoroughly inspected to determine if they're safe to use for any traffic.

2 were in a car and no more info on the third person.

I don't cheer the deaths of civilians. Next time I'll post a warning.
