I was debating whether to retire from teaching at the end of this year or to do one more. This helps me feel okay about this year. I'm so exhausted, I don't think I'd last another year.

Just hanging on..couple more years..

Be sure to check everything before retiring..hopefully you have advocates in your school system, or seminars where you can get the information you need..as a teacher I'm sure you will..if you are part of a union, they are a great resource as well..my very best to you..

I'm registered for a Medicare seminar through my district next month. That's my big concern - it's so confusing! The pension thing is pretty clear - the system lays out the steps.

What am I gonna do next???

I can honestly tell you I do not regret my decision. Things are working out just fine. I do not miss work at all and financially you find a way to make things work out. Good luck in your retirement.

That will effect taxes n be eaten up by the raises in Medicare n other deductibles. I’m not complaining but I’m not celebrating until I see the bottom line.

that there will be NO increase in Medicare premium. Actually, President Biden wants it reduced by $5.00. Not much but better than an increase

I'm happy to get the raise, for sure, as it will help offset inflation.

On top of the meager SS increases the last few years, my income is rapidly falling behind.
