1. If I had to guess, I'd say TFG is not going to be charged with any of the flashy-named crimes.

No RICO, no manslaughter, no attempted murder, no sedition.

Various frauds and obstruction and conspiracies of the same, if anything. And I'm expecting less rather than more, even of these.

There is no "our" DOJ. It wasn't Trump's when he called it his -- which he did a lot. And it isn't Democrats' or Bidens' DOJ now. There is just the DOJ.

which is larger than the DOJ, and includes everything from our laws and the legislatures which writes them, to our courts and their rulings and precedents, to our executives (including but not limited to the DOJ) which do the investigating and prosecuting and jailing, to our citizens who sit on juries with greater or less fidelity and care.

We have a very flawed system. Saying there are worse ones out there would be damning with faint praise.

Donald Trump has reportedly been committing fraud-type crimes for most of his adult life, and has never been convicted of anything so far. And he's hardly alone. That's a systematic failure. Meanwhile less privileged people are wrongfully convicted right and left, including capital crimes. A systematic failure.

I didn't say a word about Biden or Garland specifically, but I'll gladly say this part again in different words: the system is fucked up, and the people in the system are fucking it up. If you want to read into that a criticism of those two people, I cannot stop you. But that interpretation reveals more about you than me.
