Even a supposedly respectable reporter asked her whether this was true. What is so terrible about that? Oh, "raising taxes." I am not aware of any voters whose taxed were raised.

I also think, when I see the failed coup from Jan 6, when they were seeking Pelosi, some wanted to kill her: would they, had the Speaker been a man?

Consider that for a moment. In one stroke they would have decapitated the first ranks of the line of succession to the presidency. Who was next in line that day? Chuck Grassley? I guess that would explain why he was hustled out of the chambers by several tall strong men — while Speaker Pelosi was kind of on her own there.

So, what I think is that stoking the fires of misogyny serves a useful purpose for the RW masters — keep telling them to hate the little woman and the dark powers will never have to explain the rest of it.
