Today, a teacher and a 16 yr old girl did not make it home, kids texted goodbye messages

to parents and grandparents. It’s the same story, again and again, 19 year old shoots up school with a long gun.

While republicans scare people with stories of rampant crime. These are the crimes, they don’t want to talk about.

In TX, DNA kits are being sent to parents. This is so their kids can be identified, if an assault rifle rips them to shreds, blows their face off.
No parent should have to do this. No parent should get goodbye text messages from their kid at school.

I don’t mind at all. If anyone thinks Republicans will be tough on crime, they should consider that they refuse to do what is necessary to protect kids from this.

as students, teachers and staff are now aware of what can happen at any time because republicans and magats refuse to tighten gun laws nationwide.

I'd hate to be a student, or anything to do with being inside of school buildings.

Working in a school has become a dangerous job.
They should also have high life insurance policies, as part of their benefit package.
This is what it has come to.

All public school children should be covered by blanket life insurance, hospitalization, and disability policies while they are physically in school.

Burials cost money. Hospitalization for gunshot wounds could bankrupt the average family within days or weeks. Disability can be forever.

We as a society have decided that school shootings are an acceptable price to pay for the right of every Tom, Dickless, and Harry to own an arsenal. We as a society should pick up the tab.

in Portsmouth, VA. There were seven cop cars huddled together doing nothing. They didn’t even evacuate the school. WTF do we have cops for? They made it very clear in the Uvalde massacre that they have no obligation to protect anyone.

Id love to hear the convoluted "logic" to explain that.

They're just hoping that we'll accept this as the norm, like other childhood diseases. 😠

Questions abound over how the gunman got in

It’s unclear how the gunman gained access to the school. Authorities have said the doors were locked.

Walmart, Lowe's, local stores, Target, hospitals and so on.

If I'm at a place I don't know where they are or haven't been to in awhile, I look for them first.

Then I keep in mind where the nearest exit is at all times.

When parking, I strive to park so that I can drive out foward instead of backing out.

It took awhile for me to teach myself to do this as a matter of routine.

Edit: When I return home, I usually approach from the north as that allows me to see the north side, west side, south side and finally the east side of the home before parking in the driveway . I look for anything unusual.

Yes, we need to outlaw AR 15 / AK 47 platform weapons. I completely support that, and, yes, the gunman DID USE an AR 15 type assault weapon.

But wouldn't locking the doors be a damn good start until that happens?

On edit--maybe they were locked? It's not clear at this time.

It’s unclear how the gunman gained access to the school. Authorities have said the doors were locked.

The police commissioner declined to detail how the shooter got in. “I don’t want to make this easy for anybody else,” Sack said.

The gunman didn’t conceal his weapon when entering the school, Sack said.

“When he entered, it was out … there was no mystery about what was going to happen,” the commissioner said. “He had it out and entered in an aggressive, violent manner.” (unquote)

The radicalized Republican Extreme Court also thinks it is proper to force 4th graders to carry pregnancies to term. Their rulings are anti-life.
