of a kid who won't behave, that you just want to give up on her? Things like this are a punch to the gut, like finding out it was your kid who set the church on fire, your kid who shot up the school, your kid who, no matter how hard you're tried to teach right from wrong, gleefully runs around hurting other people?

How can we ever get these Americans to understand anything at all, even to be ashamed of themselves? How did our country turn out such god-forsaken offspring? It can't all be Fox News or TFG, can it? Are they the Pied Piper?

Because you can never reason stupid people out of anything they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.
