A volunteer who is at polling sites to point people in the direction of the voting machines. Not someone who is advocating any candidate.
Harassed by rePUKES who think she is not ONE OF THEM...the Cult of 45!
Please all be careful but VOTE like Democracy, a woman's right to choose, Social Security, Medicare and free and fair elections are on the ballot....because the all are.

(2,748 posts)I guess everyone assumes Im a Republican because this is Texas. We have name tags that identify us as pollwatchers, but not by party.
My motivation for doing this was to watch the watchers. But so far I havent seen any Republican poll watchers present.
I dont see any shenanigans among those working inside the poll. But there is stuff going on outside and within the 100 ft. markers that Ive reported. Like a guy with a tee shirt hanging out with a bunch of deputies and wearing a T-shirt that says Police on the front, but on the back identifies him as Alex Police. Alex is a candidate. And the shirt also has her campaign website address. Another problem is vehicles (including the deputies SUV) blocking the driveway for curbside voting, so that area cant be accessed by curbside voters.

(25,293 posts)The outside is always an issue, glad that you noticed it.
There was an issue where a woman stormed out of the doors yelling, "Vote Red" and a few other disturbances. So far, everyone inside has been professional and the army of GOP poll watchers hasn't shown up.
I was gonna be a clerk, but my brain is kinda fried, so I'll do what I always do on Election Day: I will poll greet. I've got a canopy and a bunch of signs. It's fun and it's a good way to observe what's going on etc.
