It's not just the high-profile wins (Governor, AG etc) that are important.....


....winning these less talked-about offices is pivotal at all levels is KEY. .... And I gotta say the ground game in Michigan was pretty effin' awesome in this cycle.


Dems sweep seats on state board of education


(Detroit Free Press) Two Democrats, one incumbent and one first-time candidate, have won election the Michigan State Board of Education, unofficial results indicate.

Voters chose to reelect current board Vice President Pamela Pugh and send fellow Democrat Mitchell Robinson to the board. Pugh and Robinson will begin eight year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2023. The board's current president, Democrat Cassandra Ulbrich, did not seek reelection.

Four other candidates: Donna Gundle-Krieg, Bill Hall, Ethan Hobson and Mary Anne Herring each received around 1% of the vote.

The Michigan State Board of Education is tasked with recommending actions and policies to improve public education in Michigan. The board is also responsible for appointing the state superintendent. ..............(more)
