Carol Blood: It's Not The End Of Our Fight

Friends,

Election Day is over. Our fight for a better Nebraska has not ended. Although we did not win the Governor's race, our spirit and determination has not been extinquished. I remind you that I have two years left in the Nebraska Legislature and my plan is to continue to cause some good trouble in support of our friends, family members and neighbors who need their voices to be heard across Nebraska.

My only regret in this election are the people who I have let down by not winning this race. My heart is so full. Everywhere I traveled, Nebraskans came to me stating that I brought them hope for a better Nebraska for all. That is a memory that I will always cherish.

With that said, we do have one last ask. We had the promise of a donor in the last month of our campaign that allowed us to increase our TV ad time. We excitedly took on this generous offer after being told over and over that the funds would soon be delivered. We moved our existing funds saved for the last payroll to the ads in anticipation of the check promised to us (multiple times). The check has not come and now we find ourselves in a final funding quandry.

This isn't a story that I wanted to share in an email blast. Unfortunately, in order to close up shop on this campaign, we need to make sure our debt is covered.

And so, I ask if you will support our campaign one last time and help us to pay off our final debt to those who worked so hard across Nebraska knocking on doors, making calls, helping at events and more.

I am forever appreciative of the kind words, support and motivation you gave me to push through these last 14 months. Now it's back to work in the legislature and some quality time much needed with my family.
